Thursday, May 4th 2:00pm-4:00 pm in the Abell/Lorenz room: KC hospice will be presenting on Advanced Directives. An all-inclusive presentation of the meaning, outline and how to establish one.
Monday, May 8th 2:00pm-4:00 pm in the Abell/Lorenz room: Talk of a Lifetime. This is presented by Muehlebach Chapel. It is a discussion for families preparing for end of life care, decision making and resources. How to start discussing the "wishes" of family members that are aging.
Tuesday, May 16th 2:00pm-4:00 pm in the Abell/Lorenz room: Smoothies with Seniors. Two cardiac nurses from SJMC will present on heart disease and prevention.
Monday, May 22nd 2:00pm-4:00 pm in the Abell/Lorenz room: Attorney Samantha Shepard will be here to present on Elder Law. Broad overview of the areas of elder law, basic estate planning documents and real-life consequences if estate planning documents are not executed. After this presentation, audience will be able to: define and understand the differences between a will and a trust, define and understand the purposes of Durable Powers of Attorney and Advance Directives and understand there are planning opportunities available for the high cost of long term care.
