Women's Health Institute/Birthing Center/Genetic Counseling
Genetic Counseling
Before having an amniocentesis, you will meet with a certified genetic counselor. The counselor will explain the procedures and help assess your risk for complications during pregnancy. Your family medical history, age and personal medical history, childbirth experiences and other risk factors are all concerns the counselor will discuss with you. This consultation can provide you and your physician with valuable information about your pregnancy.
Billing
After your appointment with Obstetrics Diagnostic Services, you will receive two bills, one from St. Joseph Medical Center and one from Perinatal Consultants.
