Calendar of Events

The St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation will sponsor the ninth biennial Healthy Food & Good Wine on Saturday, May 5th from 6 to 10 p.m. under the portico at the main entrance of St. Joseph Medical Center at I-435 and State Line. The event will spotlight local, independently-own restaurants and upscale food trucks alongside farmers, suppliers and chefs. Vendors already signed up to participate include Blanc Burgers & Bottles, Blue Bird Bistro, Cellar Rat, EBT, The Farmhouse, The Good You Food Truck, Jack Stack Barbecue, Just Desserts, Mollyís Table, and The Roasterie Airstream.  Mike White and the Health Nuts will provide music and dancing, and VIP sponsors will be treated to an Chef  tasting competition early in the evening. An online auction featuring meals from participating restaurants and other goodies will precede the May 5th event.

Kathleen McGilley Asbury and Scott Asbury, Kathy and Mark McGilley and Heidi and Vince Narciso, MD are serving as event co-chairs. Since its inception in 1996, Healthy Food Good Wine has been a biennial wine tasting event that brings business, social and medical communities together for the benefit of St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation. Over the years, the event has successfully raised funds for the Stroke Center, Emergency Room, Seniors Clinic, Pain Clinic and Heart Institute expansions. This yearís Healthy Food will raise funds towards to upgrade equipment in the operating rooms at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Early bird Chardonnay sponsors include Country Club Bank, Hall Render Killian Heath and SJ Pain Associates. Pinot sponsors are JE Dunn Construction and Dr. Vince and Heidi Narciso. Make your reservation early to guarantee a seat. Individual tickets are $125, and sponsorship opportunities are available from $1,250 to $10,000.
